We congratulate Debby Suder, our incredible Facilities Secretary, on being selected as the September Facilities Employee of the Month!
Debby consistently goes above and beyond to keep our facilities department running smoothly. From meticulously managing our inventory and ensuring orders are in place to keeping our ML Schedules updated, she handles countless responsibilities with precision and care. Her positive attitude and unwavering dedication make a difference every single day, and we are truly grateful for all she does.
Debby, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your hard work, your kindness, and your commitment to making our team stronger. We couldn’t do it without you, and we’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

🚴♂️ Exciting News at East Omak Elementary! 🚴♀️
Our 3rd-5th graders are participating in the Let’s Go Bicycle curriculum, learning valuable pedestrian and bicycle safety skills with Mr. Agee! We are grateful for this opportunity which is funded through a grant from the Department of Transportation. From understanding traffic signals to safe riding techniques, these students are becoming confident and responsible riders. Every day, more of our kids are making the leap from being striders to riders!
We’re so proud of their progress and can’t wait to see them safely enjoying the great outdoors!

East students earn Your Rock tickets for following our school wide rules which are Show Respect, Solve Problems, Make Good Decisions, and Be Safe. Each week the school counselor, Ms. Katie, draws several students from each grade level. Often times students can choose from prizes from our school store that is largely funded by the Omak Parent Lighthouse Team. This week students got to go to East's school garden to pick out a pumpkin to take home! What a treat!
Many thanks to all who came to clean up East's school garden. Every student took home a pumpkin! We look forward to spring when the After School Garden Club will begin under the guidance of Mr. And Mrs. Agee.
Omak School District Cares About the Safety of Their Students
On October 2, 2024, Shumway Road was closed due to an emergency water leak that affected the regular bus route. In response, the Omak School District swiftly made emergency bus route changes. Our dedicated staff went to the rescheduled bus stop to ensure that all students arrived home safely. We are incredibly proud of our team’s quick actions and unwavering commitment to student safety. Thank you to our staff and community for your understanding and support during this situation!

Custodian Appreciation Day
Teachers Melissa Omer and Joneen Ingram, who recently led an exciting and impactful training session for staff on the RACES strategy for writing constructed responses! This fantastic method helps students craft organized, thorough answers by guiding them to restate the question, answer it, cite evidence from the text, explain their reasoning, and summarize their response. It’s an incredible tool for building strong writing skills across the board! Plus, Melissa and Joneen took it a step further by providing grade-specific resources to ensure alignment and continuity throughout all grade levels. 🎉🥳 Native American Day Fun in Ms. Ingram's Class! 🥳🎉
Our awesome 3rd graders in Ms. Ingram’s class had a blast celebrating Native American Day with an exciting mix of culture, tradition, and tasty treats! 😋🍞 They enjoyed delicious fry bread while showing off some incredible student presentations featuring ribbon skirts, jingle dresses, cradleboards, and drums! 🥁👗
The classroom was full of vibrant colors, beautiful music, and amazing stories as students shared their projects and pride in Native American heritage. 🌟💖 What an unforgettable day of learning and celebration!
