Omak Middle School Principal Dr. Ryan Christoph is set to transition to a new role next year as the Executive Director of Career Technical Education (CTE) and Alternative Programs. He will also serve as the Director of Native American Education. Dr. Christoph, a dedicated educator for over 14 years, began his career as a teacher and Principal at Paschal Sherman Indian School, followed by six years as Principal at East Omak Elementary. He has led Omak Middle School for the past six years, focusing on student success and community engagement.
In his new role, Dr. Christoph will be responsible for overseeing the development and enhancement of CTE programs. His vision is to expand course offerings that provide practical skills and foster partnerships with local businesses. He is also eager to advance Native American Education, focusing on creating a supportive environment that honors students' heritage and integrates culturally relevant teaching practices. Additionally, Dr. Christoph will oversee Alternative Programs, including the introduction of the Open Doors program at Highlands, which offers flexible pathways to graduation through both GED and high school diploma options.
As Dr. Christoph prepares for these new responsibilities, the Omak Middle School community will welcome Audrey Hunt as the new principal. Audrey Hunt brings a wealth of experience to her new role, with 14 years in education, including positions as Assistant Principal, Director of Native American Education, Dean of Students, and over a decade of teaching in diverse districts across the state. She is passionate about creating a dynamic and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
